Palihouse in Santa Monica and Los Angeles skating Session

Am I allowed to have a crush on a city?

I might as well.  Santa Monica has become my home away from home and the perfect sanctuary for me to pause all craziness.  From work, life and all.  I guess it's just the magic vibes that come with the city and the happy west coast energy, from the quiet and calm fog from June gloom (which I happen to love)  to the lively hot summer days on August.  From the busy Pier and it's hundreds of tourists , to shopping around Montana Avenue and all the way to trying new food spots in nearby Brentwood.  Wilshire, Pico, and even close enough Abbot Kinney.

I have to admit I'm in love with Santa Monica's tiny lights leading towards the ocean night and it's pale blue beach huts by day. And if I had to choose from day or night, I'd choose both.  And stay awake to not see the day end.

I'd stroll with my dog along Palisades Park and drive against the wind on the PCH towards nowhere, or everywhere.

There are days when I'll even grab a Sidecar doughnut and pop open a raspberry LaCroix and just believe I live there, on the corner of Ocean and a block from Sugarfish.   5 times a year is not enough Santa Monica, we need to see each other more...  You, I and our perfect year long affair on which I love your lovers, your stories and your skateboards in summer.
